Ron Morris - A Celebration of Life

Ron Morris - A Celebration of Life

Andrew Lee8 Jan - 12:00

Friday 30th January, from 4pm at Chiswick Rugby - ALL WELCOME

Chiswick Rugby are honoured and delighted to host this Special Celebration of one of our Club's greatest stalwarts. An uplifting idea from his wonderful family - as they say below - please ALL come, enjoy and CELEBRATE...

AN INVITATION FROM THE MORRIS FAMILY

In December, five weeks after his passing, we were finally able to lay dad to rest. In keeping with his wishes, he had a pure cremation. Ever the party man, he wanted us to celebrate his life rather than mourn his loss.

AND CELEBRATE HIM WE WILL!

On Friday, 30th January, from 4pm we’ll be gathering at his favourite rugby club to honour everything he loved and everything he meant to us.

Everyone who cared for him, shared a beer with him, laughed with him, or simply enjoyed his company is warmly invited to join us. Let’s raise a glass, share our stories, and give him the celebration he wished for.

Original Club Message on Ron's Passing

Dear All,

We have sad news of the recent passing of long time CRFC stalwart and supporter, Ron Morris. For many years Ron was an enthusiastic supporter of everything CRFC related, attending matches home and away and making his presence felt, regardless of hail, rain or snow. He was particularly proud to cheer on his sons, Tony and Darren, who were both prominent in the maroon and blue for many years.

Along with the wider Morris family, he devoted many hours of selfless service to the club, and used his considerable construction skills to help make our clubhouse and grounds as comfortable as possible for us all. In his time, he helped us avert more than one ‘crisis’ and he did it with a grin and an infectious positive attitude.

As any more details of remembrances become available we will pass them on. In the meantime, we offer the condolences of Chiswick Rugby Football Club to the Morris family and Ron’s many friends for their loss.

May our old friend Ron rest in peace.

Ray Theakston
President
