We are serious about the introduction, engagement and growth of Girls and Women in and with our offering - playing, watching and enjoying the environment. We have actively focussed on this area with the result that most weeks 30-40% of players and spectators are female. The outcome being already that a FAR more pleasurable environment is enjoyed by ALL our guests. Add, our U12 Girls team to the picture, and we’re on the right path.

The new (self-contained) Changing Rooms provided the background to our being invited to apply for a British Airways Social Spaces Grant – a programme specifically aimed at the growth of female sport – rugby in particular, by the provision of new spaces. The grant was duly awarded and helped us to move swiftly onto creating this fun, new area for all to enjoy.

As a result of our speedy opening, we were selected to highlight the British Airways programme by way of this special feature for THE STANDARD’S ‘Hidden London’ series.

Wonderful for our aspirations around Girls and Women’s sport at Chiswick Rugby, together with all ongoing.
