Chiswick RFC Team Building 1st July 2006

To kick off pre-season training Chiswick RFC is holding a team building day on Saturday 1st July 2006.  The objective of this day is to get to know your playing colleagues better and have a generous helping of fun in the process.  This invitation is open to all playing members of Chiswick RFC, and promises to be an excellent day.

Combat Events in Dorking, Surrey will be holding the event.  These are a dedicated group of ex-military personnel who specialise in team building events for corporations and sporting organisations.  Transport will be provided for the day, and entertainment organised for our return to Chiswick.

Combat Events run a number of team oriented activities intended to encourage teamwork and extract a great deal of laughing in the process.  These activities are:

  • Assault Course – team traversing of the military assault course requiring teamwork and communication to complete the task
  • Log Run – challenge to complete the course as quickly as possible whilst collectively transporting a huge log the length of the course
  • Tyre Race – huge tyres need transporting over a hilly course
  • Tug of War – Man and rope in perfect harmony

Following a morning of teamwork, and copious sweating, lunch will be provided.

The afternoon involves paintball on one of the best courses in Southern England.  Themes and obstacles are all provided on site, and scenarios devised by the ex-military staff.  Combat Events provide all equipment: camouflage suit, gun, ammo pack and mask

At the end of the day, it’s back on the coach to Chiswick.  A BBQ is organised for the summer evening, and a few beers partaken of.
